We are owner operators so we provide a more personalised service. With eyes and ears on the ground every day, our parents have the peace of mind they need. Age Groups at Ornella
MiNi Spotz
2 - 3 years
During a child's toddler years, their emotional, social, physical and cognitive skills take a giant leap forward.
Language is developed, toddlers start to speak with 2 - 3 words and work their way up to short sentences. Thinking is developed as they start to understand concepts like time and opposites. Social skills come into focus as the toddler starts to enjoy playing with others and their sense of independence starts to blossom. It's a time of energy, movement and curiosity.
Our MiNi SPOTZ program is about inspiration, discovery and preparation to give toddlers a solid foundation before moving into the pre-school stage.
MiGHTY Spotz
3 - 4 years
Welcome to MiGHTY SPOTZ.
By now children will start to become readers, thinkers and negotiators.
It is the time to focus on key developmental skills - our MiGHTY SPOTZ start to develop basic numeracy and literacy as well as focus on important social and emotional skills.

PREP Spotz
4 - 5 years
Our PREP SPOTZ Program is an accelerated curriculum for pre-schoolers.
Our pre-school curriculum has been designed by university trained early childhood teachers and specialists in collaboration with local schools to create a program that excites, prepares and inspires our children for the great milestone of starting primary school.
We love it, we know our children do too.
Our pre-school program is our School Readiness Program. Keep reading.

A typical day at Ornella
Early learning centres are very busy places with lots of energy and activity. There is a schedule of tasks that have to get done from open to close, all day every day! From preparing meals to preparing beds, from running educational activities to documenting progress, writing daily posts to organising play time based on child-led learning…our Centres are a hub of action.
To ensure it all runs as smoothly as possible; we follow a daily routine - this is what we call our daily program. The program is prepared weekly but it isn't set in stone; activities are adjusted to meet the individual children's interests and needs as much as is possible. This is what we call child-led learning.
In addition to the daily activities that take place at Ornella; the Centre also hosts a range of extracurricular events throughout the year. These include special events and incursions that form an important part of the learning and development process by exposing children to new experiences.
The first few weeks at Ornella
The first few weeks are very important for children, parents as well as the Centre. We ask all our new parents to give it some time to get to know each other so, together, we can create a sense of familiarity and trust.
Some children adapt to a new environment quite quickly; others need more time. There is no right or wrong timing; a child's age is important as well as their personality, their home life, and whether it's their first time in care or if they have moved from another centre.
The first day is particularly important. We know it can be hard to walk away from your baby on that first day but we do encourage parents to be prepared for a quick drop off so we can start the bonding process with your child and relieve the stress and anguish that can often be caused when a parent finds it difficult to leave.
After the first day, during those first few weeks, we invite new parents to join us for a Stay & Play day at Ornella so you can spend some time with your child as you both become acquainted to the new environment.
It's all a part of managing a smooth transition.
